Nine compartments in different sizes, in a single wooden frame finished rustic brown. The mixed sizes are what make it useful: small pieces get a small hole, taller books get a tall one, and the result looks composed rather than gridded.
It works wall-mounted as a shadow box for collectibles, photographs and small artwork, or standing on the floor as a low bookcase. Turn it on its side and the proportions change again, so it fits a horizontal alcove as readily as a vertical one.
The open back is deliberate: cables from a speaker or a router pass straight through, so it can sit behind electronics without trapping wires. Books, framed photographs, storage bins and baskets all fit, and it goes together easily. Suited to an office, a living room, a study or a games room.
